I love photography and most especially taking photos of dogs and dogs and their humans.
My history with photography started many years ago when I was working at the cosmetics counter at Nordstrom. I had a fully manual Nikon F2 camera that was given to me by a friend and I taught myself the fundamentals. Soon I started taking pictures of aspiring models that I would meet at my job. It wasn’t long before I upgraded to a Hasselblad, bought a backdrop and some lights, became a member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), and was getting booked for weddings, portraits, fashion and commercial shoots for Inc Magazine and Utah Health.
I studied photography with the Golden Gate School of Professional Photography in San Francisco and studied Fine Art at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, the University of Utah and Polimoda University in Florence, Italy.
The years went by and the industry changed and I found myself drawn into the world of recruiting, where I spent 15+ years. I have always kept my hand in photography and the arts, but for a decade or so, only for myself, mainly taking tons of pictures of my little one.
Now I’m getting back into what my true passions are and dog photography is high on the list!!
I’ll be posting a gallery of images for you to see soon! So check back!! Many of the images on my blog are just simple photos shot on my iPhone to illustrate whatever I was writing about, so I promise to give you a good idea as to what you can expect from a photo shoot with me within the next week or two.
If you are in the Salt Lake City or Park City areas and are interested in booking me for a photo shoot with your fur baby, drop me a line. I’d love to hear from you!
